Submissions Guidelines

  • All submissions of writing and artwork will be considered for publication in our online journal, and are also automatically entered into any relevant contests.

  • Minors (less than 18 years of age) need to submit written parental consent to post their work online, and/or be published in Cogito journal and its allied publication.

  • Writers/ Authors/ Poets/ Artists need to send at least 3 works for submissions to any particular issue. We will not consider single submissions from contributors.

  • All materials for which you sign the Writer's/ Author's/ Poet's/ Artist's contract become the property of Cogito. By signing the contract, you are giving Cogito and its partners, affiliates, and licensees the non-exclusive right to publish your work in any format, including print and electronic media. However, all individual contributors to Cogito retain the right to submit their work for non-exclusive publication elsewhere, and you have our permission to do so. Cogito is copyrighted.

  • Please refer to the Cogito Writer's Contract for further details.

  • Cogito has a no-tolerance policy for plagiarism. Our Editorial Team checks the originality of all published work through WriteCheck.

  • We require a short bio or cover letter about the writer. This can be of min. 50 and max. 100 words.

     

  • We do not open attachments. Please copy/paste your submission(s) in the body of the email.
